January 2016

I have lots of news to share with you about my plans for 2016 – but first let me wish you a Happy New Year. I hope it’s a happy, healthy and prosperous year for all of us!

December 2015 ended on a good note, as customers flocked into the shop in the run-up to Christmas. We enjoyed a great level of support from local people and those coming to see us from farther afield.

The big news this month is that we are launching a series of drop-in sessions, demonstrations and workshops to help people develop their knitting, crochet and weaving skills and to give advice on individual projects.

I’m being joined by Fiona Nisbet, an excellent weaver and teacher, and my assistant at Coco Alpacas, Louise Sharman, for these fun and creative sessions which begin this month. We only have space for three or four participants, so have a look at the programme details, which are under Events on the website, and if you’re interested send me an email as soon as possible to book your place.

So what else have I been up to in the past few weeks?

I’ve been sourcing new yarns, books and gifts to expand our stock during 2016, planning a new website, and working hard to take care of my animals in the horrible wet weather. Luckily they can get under cover escaping the relentless rain and they are all fine. I have two new arrivals, Manot and Salvador, two gorgeous boys with amazing soft fleeces who have travelled from France to join the herd. It won’t be long before their lovely fleeces have been converted into beautiful hand-knitted products for my customers!

If you want to get in touch about any of the above send me an email:

Very best wishes for 2016
